Big Thank-Yous To Terrific Test -Tatters

Before the new year, I asked Ann, of the Nifty Needle, if she would be kind enough to test-tat a new pattern, and she undertook this challenge, even buying new thread to do so!  Just look at what she has created for me!  Thank you so much Ann - it looks wonderful!

Then, I received a request from Mary at  Peachtree Cottage.  She wanted to try and replicate the pattern she had seen here.  I told her I could send her the pattern and she could test it out. She agreed to give it a go and here is her beautiful rendition! Thank you, Mary!

It is so interesting to see how one's work changes, depending upon who tats it and how they choose to re-create it..

I am still at work on the diagrams and when I am done I should be ready to post "Abigail" and  "Maeve".

  3. Your test tatters have done a wonderful job.

This diagram looks so much better than the first one. Learning hows starts out hard, but it gets easier. I use Serif Draw too. I paid about $10 for the trial version some years ago and never upgraded to the deluxe version.

  4. Your design has turned out to be perfectly beautiful when tatted by your testers. Each one unique based on the threads. Love your banner with the dragons you made. Happy tatting...

  8. I saw Ann's test-tat and thought it looked quite lovely. I can't wait to see yours.

I had to chuckle when reading Ann's post because I kept thinking how 'before you know it, we'll be seeing published tatting books by Fox!'

  9. Fox, you are incredibly dedicated and talented - those two versions of your design are lovely, not just because of the pretty threads, but because they are intrinsically symmetrical and balanced patterns.
Maybe you could, one day, publish an e-book of all your motifs, so that we can practise while we wait for the first Fox doily!

  10. Fox, tu patrón es exquisito, las dos versiones hermosas, pero me quedo con la que tejio Anne, yo prefiero los colores solidos para que luzca mas el nudo. Felicidades

  15. Thank you all for such lovely comments...*blush*!

I do not know how I will ever get another design happening if I cannot figure out the drawing stuff...

Very frustrating, as I would love to have the patterns complete. But, I am working on it!
