Beads And Bumps

 #15 Motif Challenge

Love this pattern by Samantha Melnychuk.  I had envisioned it in this thread, as I took a little break after the Liam Dragon, and I am happy with the result.  The thread?  Krystle's  wonderful Watermelon experiment.

Now, sufficiently rested, I begin Dragon #2:

Thanks to Jane's instructions that I saved somewhere, I was able to do that little bead at the end of the tail! Thanks Jane!

Yesterday, I happened upon these beautiful mainly purple and deep blue beads, thinking they would be perfect with that Coron blue and the Lizbeth purple.  My camera did not catch the colour or the lush saturation.  The match is very good.

Unfortunately, the match is also perfect for the haematoma on my forehead!

Guess who walked into a window yesterday!  Sheesh - after the incident a few days ago and now this, I feel like the clumsiest person on the planet. Plus, I now look like a Cyclops!

Never mind.  I will go sit in a chair and tat that green dragon.  How much trouble can that get me into?

Do not answer.

  2. Pretty! Pretty! I should really start on my dragons so that I can catch up to you. Unfortunately, I bought yarn yesterday... luscious alpaca for scarves for my daughters. I think dragons will be on the back burner, so I'm really looking forward to seeing yours!

  3. Right. Sit down in a thickly padded chair. Use only blunt scissors to cut your threads. Leave your ends long until you can safely handle a needle to sew them in. Have Maebh and The Cat bring you anything you need; do not attempt to walk.

  9. Don't you just love it when you find the perfect match of beads to threads? Take care of the Cyclops and be careful.

  10. I am so sorry about your mishaps...though you seem to be coping quite well. I really like the watermelon HDT, and your beads are matching very well in the dragon as well.....happy tatting
