Cheers For The Tartan Cluny!

Thread:  Watermelon from the Good Doctor (Von Threadmore)

Yessirree,
that would be me, tooting my own horn,
which is far better than being hoisted on my own shuttle  petard!
(Thanks BJ - haven't heard that one in aeons!)

Though I have a long way to go to perfect this technique, I am now very comfortable with the weaving and am really - yes, I do mean it this time - ready to take a hiatus from tally tatting.  I do not want to get overly bored with the designs, so I will leave them for a bit.  Just for a little bit...   C'est  au revoir, mais pas adieu!

  2. AWESOME JOB FOX!!! Your clunies look GREAT and I love the colors! I like how some of the clunies are striped. I have some Lizbeth that is just green and white variegated. If I try something with clunies, I'm going to use it so all my clunies will be stripey! 'Cause I like stripes.

  4. Beautiful clunies! Do you weave them in your hand or do you use a loom? You have definitely inspired me to try them again!

  7. The effect of the thread on the cluny leaves are just fabulous. I was thinking of a checker board but tartan is right. Colours are just wonderful. Well done!!

  12. Do you use any tools while making clunies?
I tried, but my fingers get tired very fast )

  13. Lenhen,

No, I use my fingers to weave - much easier than a loom.

Check out elisadusud's (http://elisadusud.canalblog.com)U-Tube video. They are what I watched over and over and over ...... : ))
