Success! Now for the Second ...

Isn't this so sweet?

Here is a size comparison shot.  These booties are very small in size #20 Lizbeth.  And I found the white Cebelia much softer than the surrounding thread , but it is all I have in the right size.

Now I have to do the second one.  Not so much fun.  I hope I learned something AND retained it in muscle memory,  from the gazillion times I started this.  Also, I had to do the rosette about three times because I cannot COUNT!

I cut out a few rings of the heel, because I had added an extra ring and must confess I thought about leaving it. Who was going to notice, after all?  Just could not do it!

In the end I am very glad.  My mistake-fixing is almost indiscernible.  I am pleased with this,
Anon,
p.s.  I never would have done this if I had not seen the booties tatted by Desperate Tatter, who used this thread.  I am so glad to have seen it, as I think it can be used for whomever appears - boy or girl!

  8. How cute! Thank you for stopping by my blog last week! When I made my nephew's booties, I found the second one to go by faster than the first. With the first one, I was worried that it would not turn out well. By the time I was making the second one, I knew everything would be all right.

  14. Any chance you would be willing to share the pattern?

  15. Hi, Joanne,
Much as I would like to share it I can't, as this pattern is subject to copyright law, but you can find it in Mary Konior's book, A Pattern Book of Tatting, which some folks have even found in the their public library. Good luck!
