More Berries? More Merry!

Two strawberries down, two to go.

I also found the perfect yarn for the border - I think.  OR, do you think it will be too much and the border should be white, so as not to compete with the berries?  I can't decide...

Either way, I am NOT going to put myself through another hanky delirium, so I will crochet the border.

  1. If the reds match perfectly, then go for it. I think that would tie things together nicely. However, mismatched reds really bug me, so if it's not perfect, then I would stick with white.

  2. Hi Fox!
I DO like the idea of the border. It looks like you found the perfect shade of red!

Would it be possible to dummy up the border along two sides of one of your squares so you can see how it will look with the strawberries? Will the border be red along the outside edge or a red inner border completed with white on the edge?

  4. I'm with Miranda, mismatched reds look really wonky, but the reds on my screen match, although it may look different in person.

Have fun! The berries are cute.

  5. You are knocking my socks off with those berries! They look stunning on the white background. And I like the idea of a red border.

Whee! This project is taking on a life of its own. But it's GORGEOUS, dah-ling.

Thank you all for your input and comments. There is to be no red border. Miranda's comment clinched it!

I only hope I have the patience to do two more berries...I get bored so quickly and want to move on to the next project...

It is a neat pattern to tat, however.

  8. I like strawberries a lot!

Both real ones and the ones you made. They look great on the potholders.

  9. Potholders! LOL! Carla, I do not know twenty people who would appreciate those squares, if they were potholders! My dear, it is a baby blanket you have seen the berries on! But, I accept the compliment anyway!I LOVE praise! Fox : ))
